Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Vaultly TCG website, mobile apps and related services (together, the "Services"), operated by Vaultly TCG ("Vaultly", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Services you agree to these Terms and to the policies they refer to, including our Privacy Policy, Buyer Protection and, if you sell, the Seller Agreement.

1. What Vaultly is

Vaultly is an online marketplace and livestream-selling platform for trading cards and related collectibles. We provide the venue: listings, auctions, live shows, messaging, checkout and dispute tools. Unless we clearly say otherwise, Vaultly is not the seller of items listed on the marketplace. Contracts for the sale of items are between the buyer and the seller.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
  • You must provide accurate information, keep it up to date and verify your email address before buying, bidding or selling.
  • You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep your password secret, enable two-factor authentication, and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • One person may hold one personal account. Businesses may hold accounts for their trading entity. You may not create accounts to evade a suspension or restriction.
  • We may require additional verification (for example identity checks by our payment provider) before allowing certain activity.

3. Buying

  • Listing prices are shown in the seller's currency. Your card issuer may apply its own conversion rate and fees.
  • When you click Buy it now, place a winning bid, have an offer accepted or buy during a live show, you enter a binding contract to buy the item and must pay promptly.
  • Postage, import duties and local taxes may apply. We show postage before you pay; customs charges for international orders are the buyer's responsibility unless the listing says otherwise.
  • Eligible purchases are covered by Buyer Protection.

4. Auctions and bidding

  • Bids are binding. A bid is your offer to buy the item at up to your maximum bid amount.
  • Vaultly uses proxy bidding: we bid on your behalf only as much as needed to keep you in the lead, up to your maximum. Your maximum is never shown to other users.
  • To prevent sniping, a bid placed in the final minutes of an auction may extend the end time.
  • Shill bidding (bidding on your own items or coordinating bids to inflate prices) is prohibited and may lead to permanent removal and referral to authorities.
  • Auction end times are determined by Vaultly's servers. Countdown timers on your device are an indication only.

5. Selling

Selling requires an approved seller application and acceptance of the Seller Agreement. Sellers must describe items accurately, disclose condition and grading honestly, ship within their stated handling time and comply with the Counterfeit Policy and Prohibited Items policy.

6. Live shows

Live shows are subject to the Livestream Rules and Community Guidelines. Purchases made during a live show are binding in the same way as other purchases. Promoted streams are paid placements and are always labelled.

7. Payments

Payments are processed by our payment service provider. Vaultly does not store full card numbers. Funds for a sale are held and released to the seller in line with the Seller Agreement, typically after tracked dispatch or delivery. We may delay or withhold payouts where we reasonably suspect fraud, a dispute is open or the law requires it.

8. Fees

Buyers do not pay a fee to use the marketplace unless shown at checkout. Sellers pay commission and other fees described in the Seller Agreement. Fees may change with at least 30 days' notice; changes never apply retrospectively to sales already made.

9. Content and conduct

You are responsible for content you post, including listings, photos, messages, reviews and chat. You grant Vaultly a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and adapt that content to operate and promote the Services. You must not post content that is unlawful, misleading, infringing, abusive or that breaches our policies. Trading card names, images and logos are the property of their respective owners; listing an item does not grant any rights in those marks.

10. Restrictions and enforcement

We may warn, restrict features, remove content, cancel transactions, hold funds, suspend or close accounts where we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms, our policies or the law, or to protect users. We will tell you the reason unless we are legally prevented from doing so or doing so would compromise an investigation. You can appeal decisions through your account.

11. Disputes between users

If something goes wrong with an order, follow the Dispute Procedure. Vaultly may make a final decision on a Buyer Protection claim, which does not affect your statutory rights or your right to go to court.

12. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, Vaultly is not liable for: losses caused by other users; the quality, safety, legality or authenticity of items listed by sellers; or indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to you in connection with the Services in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the fees you paid to Vaultly in that period or £100.

13. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects you, we will give you notice before it takes effect. You may close your account at any time from Privacy & data once open orders, disputes and payouts are settled.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
