Returns & Refunds
Seller return policies
Each listing shows whether the seller accepts returns for change of mind and, if so, within how many days (at least 14 days where they do). Business sellers selling to consumers at a distance must also respect the buyer's statutory right to cancel, which in the UK and EU is generally 14 days from delivery, subject to legal exceptions.
Items that are not as described, counterfeit or damaged in transit can always be returned under Buyer Protection, whatever the seller's return policy.
Requesting a return
- Open the order in Orders and choose Return item.
- Explain the reason and add photos if relevant.
- The seller approves or responds within 3 business days. Once approved, ship the item back with tracking within 7 days, in the same condition you received it, including any slab, case or seal.
Return postage
- Change of mind: the buyer pays return postage unless the listing says otherwise.
- Not as described, damaged or counterfeit: the seller pays return postage.
Refunds
- Refunds go back to the original payment method. Banks usually take 3–10 business days to show the money.
- Sellers must refund within 3 business days of receiving the returned item, or of agreeing a refund without return.
- A full refund includes the original standard postage. Partial refunds can be agreed between buyer and seller.
- Where a sale is refunded, the seller's commission on the refunded merchandise is reversed proportionally.
Cancellations
- Before dispatch, a buyer may ask the seller to cancel. The seller decides, except where the buyer has a statutory right to cancel.
- Unpaid orders (for example after an auction win) may be cancelled by the seller after the payment deadline. Repeated non-payment can lead to restrictions on bidding.
- Auction bids cannot be retracted except in limited cases (for example if you entered the wrong amount and correct it immediately).
